Building Our Future

St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Euless, TX

Purpose

The time has come for St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church to step into a new stage of existence. Our visionary founders have secured a magnificent lot centrally located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Now, with a growing community, St. John’s prepares to erect a Byzantine-style church that will allow us to worship God in a manner more fitting to our Holy Tradition.

The new church will accommodate 250 parishioners for weekly services while providing a splendid liturgical space for weddings, baptisms, funerals and other special church services. Moreover, an addition to replace the Paulos center will be added to the existing building with appropriate classroom space to house our growing Sunday School. The existing church/hall will then be renovated to an improved Parish Hall featuring more seating room and enlarged kitchen facility.

The Building Our Future campaign kicked off this summer. With a projected cost estimated at $2.4 million, we are facing an exciting opportunity to serve God and our community of faith. You, too, can be a part of our future. Join us in our efforts to build this Church for the glory of God.

On Commitment Sunday, Dec. 13, everyone at St. John’s will have the opportunity to make a three-year commitment over and above their current stewardship participation. Pray that the Lord will guide you in deciding what you and your family can accomplish for our church. Plan to be a part of Commitment Sunday and let’s join together in a
pledge of prayer and commitment toward our future.
